THERAPEUTIC TEACHING

So far this workshop is the most intensive offering I have.Therapeutic Teaching is a another way of teaching using arts and human kinetics including music, art, play, dance, drama, literature and  other pedagogy to address specific therapeutic needs and concerns of learners with special needs.

AIM: This workshop will help participants learn ways on how to incorporate the six therapies in their lessons.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and other providers.

DESCRIPTION: This 3-hour workshop will include theoretic framework of therapeutic teaching and classroom strategies. Participants will work in groups to work on a project showcasing a particular therapy.  At the end of the session, participants will take home Therapeutic Teaching Booklet that summarizes the session.
